Code of Good Practice for New Zealand Apprenticeships
Productivity improves and health and safety issues fall, along with recruitment costs. The positive impacts on your business are both immediate and long-term.
Any current employee over 16 can join an apprenticeship programme. They’ll need to commit to your business for the length of the apprenticeship (around three years) and work towards a level 4 qualification. The great news is, with no set intake times, you can enrol apprentices straight away – and our support kicks in immediately.
We’ll coordinate and develop the training plans, facilitate the training and arrange workplace assessment. From beginning to end we’re there to support you and your apprentices to get the best results, including literacy and numeracy support if needed.
Our focus is on tailoring the training so your apprentices will have the skills and capability to deliver the biggest benefits to your specific business – and as learning’s mostly on the job, we can design the programme to replicate your typical production.
This is your chance to secure and reward talented, motivated staff committed to your business.
Apprenticeships are also an eligible programme under the Government's Apprenticeship Boost fund. This will pay employers up to a total of $16,000 across the first two years of an apprenticeship. Click here for more.
