Arboriculture - Level 2
Trees require careful care and maintenance. You’ll learn how to plant and maintain a variety of trees, safely applying agrichemicals to assist their health and growth. You’ll get to grips with basic chainsaw and general machinery operation, learning the strict safety rules around their use.

Arboriculture - Level 3
Building on foundational skills, level 3 will take your career off the ground by learning how to climb and undertake one-person aerial rescues. You’ll be able to identify trees and understand basic nomenclature, you’ll be able to use a chipper and undertake groundsman duties, and you’ll learn basic felling techniques. You can complete this course as the first year of the apprenticeship.

Arboriculture - Level 4
As a level 4 trainee, you will master tree health and hazards, how to conduct a visual tree assessment, advanced felling techniques and advanced rigging. This can be completed as the second half of the arboriculture apprenticeship.

The course takes 16 months to complete and employees can start anytime.

Arboriculture Apprenticeship – Level 3 & 4
With our arboriculture apprenticeship, you’ll soar to new heights with your career. You’ll be a competent climber, and be able to identify tree species, you’ll learn felling techniques, tree health and how to undertake a visual tree assessment, and undertake advanced rigging techniques. You’ll also be able to lead a team of arborists, and take on leadership responsibilities.

Train the Trainer (Short Course)
This one-day interactive workshop will give you the skills needed to grow an effective, safe team that you can rely on. You’ll learn how to motivate, train and assess employees to ensure they perform to a consistently high standard.

Introduction to Team Leadership – Level 3
Effective businesses are built on strong teams. With this course you'll learn the essential fundamentals of team leadership, from inspiring team performance to understanding leadership styles.

You must be working as a part of or leading a team.

Comprehensive First Aid
This course covers all of the essentials and more. It is the minimum requirement for high risk workplaces, and it meets the Department of Labour First Aid for Workplaces standard.
Duration and start dates
The time commitment for this course is 12 hours over two days. You can choose to do the whole course in a face to face environment or mix it up with online learning. Opting for the mixed delivery gives you the choice and flexibility to complete your training when and where you choose.
Qualification
New Zealand Red Cross First Aid Certificate.

First Aid Revalidation
This 1-day course is a revalidation of your first aid skills, keeping your knowledge up to date and relevant.
Duration and start dates
You can choose to do the whole course in a face to face environment or mix it up with online learning. Opting for the mixed delivery gives you the choice and flexibility to complete your training when and where you choose.
Prerequisites
This revalidation course is for those who have previously completed Comprehensive First Aid training, and whose two year certificate is due for renewal or has expired for no more than 3 months.
Qualification
A renewed New Zealand Red Cross First Aid Certificate.
