Post Harvest – Level 2
Post harvest is a key part of the production process. You’ll learn the safe way to prepare packaging, pack, grade, stack and move produce around the storage facility. You’ll also begin to operate vehicles and machinery under supervision.

Post Harvest – Level 3
This introduces you to operational details, such as grading and packing to specific criteria, preparing for changeovers and keeping an eye on consumables. You’ll also be able to take your pick of one of three post harvest activities - quality control, coolstore operations or laboratory technician work, learning specialist knowledge in a key area.
You can complete this course as the first year of a NZ Apprenticeship.

Post Harvest – Level 4
This is where you gain the skills and understanding to step up into supervising. You’ll be able to lead and manage a team, ensuring quality and productivity at every step. You’ll learn how to manage, inspire and guide those around you, ensuring the highest standards along the entire post harvest process.
You can complete this course as the second and third year of a NZ Apprenticeship.

Post Harvest Apprenticeship - Level 3 & 4
Ideal if you are currently working in the industry with some general work experience and have a desire to develop a career in Post Harvest. You will learn skills to allow you to work in a self-managed capacity with some responsibility for other staff and have an overview of key aspects of post harvest operations.

Distribution (Level 3)
If you work in a distribution/warehousing operation within the primary industries in a role such as a Forklift Operator; Storeperson; Warehouse Operator; or Distribution Assistant, this qualification will provide an opportunity to develop your confidence and capability.
Both the learning and assessments are achieved entirely on-the-job with ongoing support from your workplace assessor, employer and Primary ITO throughout the duration of the programme.

Distribution (Level 4)
This qualification is suitable for you if you work in a distribution/warehousing operation within the primary industries, have graduated from Level 3 Distribution and wish to progress into a leadership position such as Warehouse/Distribution Team Leads and Supervisors.
Both the learning and assessments are achieved entirely on-the-job with ongoing support from your workplace assessor, employer and Primary ITO throughout the duration of the programme.

Post-Harvest Diploma in Horticulture Production
The post harvest diploma is a two year, part-time course. To find out more about the next intake for the post harvest diploma, please register your interest. It's ideal for people who have significant operational experience in the horticulture industry, or who can transfer their prior skills and knowledge and wish to develop their technical skills and knowledge within the sector.
As a graduate of the Post Harvest Diploma, you’ll be able to manage horticulture production operations to maximise effectiveness and productivity. With your cohort of fellow Diploma students, you will develop networks and friendships which will support your learning, as well as expose you to other operations; your learning will be tailored to your workplace, so you know that what you learn is immediately applicable. And at the end of the Diploma, you will have a world class qualification which shows that you are a leader in a world class industry.

Introduction to Team Leadership – Level 3

Comprehensive First Aid
This course covers all of the essentials and more. It is the minimum requirement for high risk workplaces, and it meets the Department of Labour First Aid for Workplaces standard.
Duration and start dates
The time commitment for this course is 12 hours over two days. You can choose to do the whole course in a face to face environment or mix it up with online learning. Opting for the mixed delivery gives you the choice and flexibility to complete your training when and where you choose.

First Aid Revalidation
This 1-day course is a revalidation of your first aid skills, keeping your knowledge up to date and relevant.
Duration and start dates
You can choose to do the whole course in a face to face environment or mix it up with online learning. Opting for the mixed delivery gives you the choice and flexibility to complete your training when and where you choose.
Prerequisites
This revalidation course is for those who have previously completed Comprehensive First Aid training, and whose two year certificate is due for renewal or has expired for no more than 3 months.
