Hydrology - Level 5
During this comprehensive programme you’ll learn everything you need to know to collect and process hydrometric data. Everything from selection and measuring techniques to retrieval and verification processes. You’ll also learn to plan, design, operate and maintain a hydrometric station.

You can complete this programme in one of two ways:
1 – The full 2-year programme is completed through on job learning with assessment against the unit standards completed in the work place by an industry assessor. The on job learning can be complemented with industry based courses that support the on job learning. These courses are at an additional cost (registration, travel and accommodation) and are not compulsory to complete the Diploma.
2 – Recognition of Current Competency (RCC) process which takes 7 months to complete with assessment against the unit standards completed in the work place by an industry assessor. This approach evaluates your skills and knowledge already gained through prior work experience
For the full programme you need at least 6 months experience.
If you have been in the industry for 5 or more years you could be eligible for the RCC programme.
