Amenity – Level 2
Your team will acquire the knowledge and skills to plant and maintain a variety of trees, shrubs and bedding plants. They'll learn all about turf, agrichemicals and small machinery and how to deal with them all safely, identifying potential hazards along the way.

Amenity – Level 3
Your employees will explore more of the detail and science around care of parks and open spaces, understanding growing cycles and the impact of weeds, pests and disease. They’ll be hands on, maintaining plants and gardens and learning to safely operate machinery.
They can complete this programme as the first year of a NZ Apprenticeship.

Amenity – Level 4
This is your employees' step up into supervising a team and learning to manage seasonal plans for amenity sites. They’ll develop an understanding of environmental effects on plant growth, turf botany and management and plant classification. They’ll develop the ability to interpret, implement and monitor a complete work programme across an amenity site.
They can complete this programme as the second and third year of a NZ Apprenticeship.

Amenity Apprenticeship
Ideal for people who are currently working in the industry with some general work experience and who have a desire to develop a career in Horticulture. Your staff will learn skills to allow them to work in a self-managed capacity with some responsibility for other staff and have an overview of key aspects of Horticulture operations.

Train the trainer (short course)
This one-day interactive workshop will give your managers the skills needed to grow an effective, safe team they can rely on. They’ll learn how to motivate, train and assess team members to ensure they perform to a consistently high standard.
You must be in a role where you supervise or manage staff.

Introduction to Team Leadership – Level 3
Effective businesses are built on strong teams. With this course your employees will learn the essential fundamentals of team leadership, from inspiring team performance to understanding leadership styles.

First Aid Revalidation
This 1-day course will revalidate your employees’ first aid skills, keeping their knowledge up to date and relevant.
This revalidation course is for those who have previously completed Comprehensive First Aid training, and whose two year certificate is due for renewal or has expired for no more than 3 months.

Comprehensive First Aid
This course covers all of the essentials and more. It is the minimum requirement for high risk workplaces, and it meets the Department of Labour First Aid for Workplaces standard.
