In response to farmer driven feedback Primary ITO, together with DairyNZ and Federated Farmers, have developed a biosecurity micro-credential to enhance industry capability.
The programme is designed to give business owners and managers a general understanding of biosecurity, risk management and how to implement and improve safe practices.
To test the micro-credential Primary ITO are working with Franklin Vets and QCONZ to offer a free pilot workshop for dairy farmers who are responsible for the biosecurity measures in their workplace. The workshop will cover the biosecurity environment and current issues and how to develop a farm specific biosecurity plan. It also begins the process of a person gaining the micro-credential.
