The smile said it all recently, when Fonterra's George Matiaha was presented with a NZ Certificate representing his first formal qualification.
It was an extra special moment for George, who has achieved the DAIRYCRAFT New Zealand Certificate in Distribution Level 3 (Coolstores) through his own hard work and the support of the DAIRYCRAFT team.
Primary ITO works with Fonterra to facilitate their DAIRYCRAFT programme, which has been developed to meet the unique needs of their organisation. It features a team of Fonterra coaches, who mentor and train their process operators through the NZ Certificate in Dairy Processing and their logistics staff through the NZ Certificate in Distribution. Primary ITO assessors work very closely with the coaches to award the qualifications.
Fonterra coach Clayton says this is an amazing achievement for George.
"He has put in a lot of great work and it has been a highlight for me to be his coach throughout the process. As evident by the smiles in the picture (taken at 6am), it was a very proud moment!"
So from the DAIRYCRAFT team here at Primary ITO:
Tēnei te mihi nunui ki a George mō tōna mahi pai (congratulations to George for his completion).
He mihi hoki ki a Fonterra mō te manaakitanga (and to Fonterra for their hospitality).
