Jeff Farm cadets getting the full package of training

In the next edition of our series, we speak to John and Liz Chittock – Farm Managers at Jeff Farm in Southland – about how on-farm learning adds value to their business.
“Jeff Farm is a training farm – we do practical day-to-day teaching and it’s a no brainer to bring on board Primary ITO to deliver the theory, so our cadets get the full package! We want them to be the best they can be.
It’s extremely valuable – the more knowledge the cadets learn in the classroom, the better farmers they will be out in the paddock.
Combining classroom and outdoor training on farm saves time and travel with all the facilities here, it works well for us with little down time.”
