Summary

This micro-credential is suited for experienced dairy farm workers, who are looking to move into, or are at, a leadership/management level.

Topics covered include:

  • Implement and monitor a livestock feeding plan
  • Benchmark the farm’s physical performance against primary industry performance targets
  • Produce routine management reports to inform decision making for a farm production system.

This micro-credential takes 9 months to complete.

Learners are required to attend 8 workshop days.

Learning outcomes

Graduates will be able to:

  • describe pasture production methods

  • implement and monitor a pastoral livestock feeding plan

  • benchmark own farm’s physical performance

  • produce management reports.
