4098 Assessor Training

To become a Primary ITO assessor, you must either have achieved Unit Standard 4098 – "Use standards to assess candidate performance" OR be actively working towards gaining Unit Standard 4098.  

Please note: Our 4098 Assessor training course is primarily for people wishing to become assessors in the Agriculture, Horticulture and Primary Services sectors. If you do not work in these sectors, contact your relevant Industry Training Organisation (ITO) – they’ll be able to help. 

Primary ITO / Wintec 4098 Course

To help you understand your responsibilities as a registered assessor and improve the quality of your assessments, we offer the following 4098 training course through Wintec. 

This Tutor led course will take you through a one-day theory component outlining the principles of assessment followed by a practical requirement for you to complete a workplace assessment to meet the full requirements to achieve this unit standard.

Other details are:

  • One day online theory class.
  • Following the theory component, you will be required to carry out a workplace assessment to be verified by a Training Advisor or another assessor.
  • Course cost is $350 incl.GST. Please note fees-free do not apply to this course.
