Post harvest handling is a critical in fresh food and crop production. Correct handling and storage protect freshness and quality, and can increase the value of produce.
Job overview
New Zealand has over 250 post harvest facilities using state of the art technologies and systems. Those facilities need plenty of talented people to operate them. As fruit and vegetable production increases nationally, so will the wide range of jobs.
You’ll find plenty of career opportunities in the post harvest industry. Whether you want to be a packer, grader, forklift operators, administrators, computer operators, dispatchers, or cool store operations supervisor, you can learn all the skills with us.
A post harvest role requires high attention to detail. You’ll work and train with a team of skilled people that will give you heaps of development opportunities.
