The energy and chemical process (Enchem) qualifications have recently been reviewed in consultation with industry. New learning resources have been developed that cover essential knowledge, skills, and best practice in the sector, alongside the option of online learning at Level 3.

Primary ITO sector manager Tanya Ingram says online learning provides more flexibility for industry.

“We’re thrilled to provide the option for Level 3 learners to choose between paper-based or online learning, making the training even more accessible. We hope to expand this beyond Level 3 in future.”

Boiler operations training is useful for anyone working with or overseeing boiler operations in any environment including energy and power generation, manufacturing and food processing, hospitals and schools.

The Level 3 training provides introductory knowledge of health, safety and regulatory requirements of the industry, knowledge of drawings, instrumentation and thermodynamics of the industry, and plant and equipment operation – including steam generation and combustion, and boiler operation and monitoring.
