This programme is focused on end-to-end project management and a high level of technical knowledge to lead arboriculture operations.

There are 7 off-job tutorial days.

Learning Outcomes

Graduates will be able to:

  • apply knowledge of work scheduling, risk management, site safety, hazard management planning and reporting on tree work operations.
  • apply knowledge of site-specific tree selection and survey when carrying out routine tree assessment and valuation and report findings.
  • monitoring and manage site works to protect established trees on construction sites.
  • evaluate a site for amenity trees, selecting trees and preparing a planting plan.
  • Identify a range of conifers, exotic trees and native trees, and research and evaluate trees found in arboriculture operations.
  • write analytical reports.
  • plan and manage complex tree work.
  • lead, coach and manage teams.
  • apply arboriculture law.
