Learners must be employed in the sector, have completed a Level 3 Fruit Production qualification or be experienced workers in the horticulture industry.
*Non-funded fee: $5,094.79. Please note, this fee will only apply for non-funded learners – learners who are not employed in the industry, do not meet the entry requirements of the programme, or are not classed as “domestic learners” under the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) funding rules. This programme is for learners who want to gain the skills to step up into supervising day-to-day operations, take on more responsibility and have the potential to move into a role supervising staff.
Graduates will be able to work independently and take some responsibility for others and will be able to:
Supervise and provide instruction to team members using a range of effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Implement and monitor fruit production operations to achieve production goals and standards.
Implement and monitor a horticulture crop protection plan to meet production goals and standards.
Implement and monitor fruit crop management techniques to optimise fruit production.
