Rural Pest Operations
Rural Pest Operations purpose is to protect our country from animal and plant pests that could threaten conservation, public health and enjoyment of rural bush, national parks and forests.
Job overview
Those who work in rural pest operations carry out rural pest animal and/or pest plant control, monitoring and surveying operations throughout New Zealand. Jobs include a Pest Control Contractor, Conservation Ranger or Regional Council Biosecurity Officer (to name a few).
Skills and experience:
- Physically fit
- Love of outdoors
- Vehicle training an advantage
- Desire to use technology for data collection and navigation.
