Our programmes will provide the skills and knowledge to build and maintain stunning gardens and public spaces, on any scale. Even in our Regional Council parks!

Job overview 

If you love being outdoors and have a passion for garden maintenance and plant knowledge, you couldn’t find a more fulfilling career. No experience is no problem. You’ll start as a garden assistant, working in a team to help create and maintain beautiful spaces. 

Skills and experience 

  • Physically fit and enjoy the satisfaction of a hard day’s work 
  • A team player with excellent communication skills 
  • Skills with tools and machinery an advantage 
  • Reliable
  • Full driver’s licence 
  • Eager to learn and train while you work 
  • Able and eligible to work in New Zealand
  • Growsafe certificate desirable
